Would You Rather Stop Time Or Go Back In Time?

If I were to choose between stopping time and going back in time, I would rather go back in time, the reason being is, if I had the ability to turn back time I could fix some mistakes I’ve made in the past, I'll also want to see what life was like back and if it really was how I imagined. If I could go back in time to when my parents were my age then I definitely wouldn’t regret my choice going back, as I can then see what mischievous things they've done.

Would You Rather Slide Down A Rainbow Or Jump On Clouds?

I would rather slide down a rainbow, because if I were to slide down one I would feel so much fresh air breezing on my face, excited before finally landing. I’d probably think that I’ve finally escaped reality. I can also see the view from above and notice how small, tiny and beautiful everything is.

Sailing Have A GO - Ellma

On Monday the 10th of May, the seniors of our school got ready to go sailing at Okahu Bay. It was such a pleasure to have our instructors Holly, Robbie, Kim and Collin to teach us how to steer the boat with a rudder and how to control the sail. 

I'd like to thank St Johns Rotary and Sailing NZ for giving us the opportunity to experience this. If it wasn't for them, we wouldn't have had the chance to learn how to sail on mini boats. Though the weather wasn't the best, we managed to enjoy ourselves and had fun even with a few little splashes.

Devices nowadays are the only way we can communicate to people from afar. Imagine if we had no devices at all, you would have to send a letter. If we wanted to write a message to our friend and someone always looks over at what it is then what should you do for them not to find out (Apart from hiding it)? Well I think I would use Morse Code. It may be confusing and look wierd but when you have got all the letters and numbers in your head and work it out, you will get used to it and can use it with your friend none stop (Here is an example of Morse Code)

Warsaw-By Ellma

Learning Intention: We are learning to write a fantasy writing.

Success Criteria: I am successful when I can write a fantasy writing using capital letters and full stops in paragraph form correctly.

Once upon a time, in a beautiful tree filled forest, lived an enormous,bright green, purple fire breathing dragon named "Warsaw". He was lonely because he had no friends. People thought he was scary and ugly. He did not like the way  how people were treating him.

One day, in a town named "Anthair", Warsaw blew out fire at houses. Wonder woman knew their was going to be a war between a dragon. She rushed to him, when Warsaw saw her, he was displeased and blew fire at Wonder woman, but he missed. Then Wonder Woman grabbed her golden lasso and swung it around, Warsaw. Warsaw looked at the rope, until he got very unsteady.

While Wonder woman was swinging the rope around Warsaw, she grabbed him and knocked him over with a loud thud!

The people thanked Wonder Woman for defeating Warsaw. Wonder Woman was glad to see them cheerful.

A Visit To The Stone Cottage-By Ellma

Success Criteria: I know I am successful when I can write a recount about the Stone Cottage.

Do you know what games the school children play ?

The games the Fencible children play are leap frog, tag, hide and seek, seak and relay races. They are really fun games for those times.

Inside the living room I saw a big family bible. I wish I could have opened it but I couldn't because the sign said "Do Not Touch". The bible was old and dusty and also had allot of webs. 

In the kitchen I saw a typewriter. Kids were not allowed to touch the typewriter because it was for the adults only. The typewriter is black and small and it was invented on July 23 1929 and was given to William Austin Burt and the person who made the typewriter was Christopher Latham Sholes.

Success Criteria: I am successful when I can write a explanation using words like first second,third,then, next, lastly and finally.

Ingredients: Lettuce, pineapple, apple, kiwifruit and cream.

First, wash your hands and the fruit too.

Second, wash the lettuce. 

Third, peel the skin of the kiwifruit.

Then, cut the fruit into bits of pieces.

Next, put all the fruit you cut into a big container.

Lastly, put some cream in the fruit and mix it.

Finally, eat it, it'll be delicious.

  

Lettuce Spring Roll-By Ellma

Success Criteria: I am successful when I can write instructions.

Ingredients 
1)Lettuce
2)Cooked Mince Meat
3)Carrots
4)Boiled eggs

First, wash you hands.
Second, wash the lettuce.
Third, cut the boiled egg into quarters.
Next, put the boiled eggs onto the lettuce.
Lastly, put the mince meat on top of the lettuce and egg.
Finally, roll up the lettuce and EAT IT!!!!

Alice in Wonderland-by Ellma

Once upon a time their lived me, Alice. Me and my sister went to an magical forest. My sister then said "let's play hide-and-seek" I agreed with her. While my sister was counting I hid in a tree whole but then I fell somewhere random.

I started exploring the place. Then I slipped and found a key on the floor, I picked it up, then five doors appeared out of nowhere. I tried to open all of them with the key but wouldn't open. I walked away sad, but then a small door appeared, I tried opening it with the key and it opened. I was happy but I was to big so I couldn't fit. I walked away sad. While I was walking I saw a drink that said "drink me". When I drank it I shrunk then I opened the door once again and went in. 

When I went in the door a saw cards using a red potion and turning flowers red. I was uncomfortable watching them turn the flowers red so I walked away. While my walk I heard a loud noise so I followed where the noise was coming from. When I arrived it was a game of cricket so I sat down and watched. 

People started fighting because of some braggers thinking they will win the trophy. Right after they were fighting I was about to leave but then I grew back to my size. Then when the queen of hearts saw me she thought I was going to kill them so she said to her guards "chop her head off" I grabbed them and threw them away. After that I woke up and found out it was a dream, I was happy it was not real. 

Letter Invitation+Sleeping Beauty Visits St. Patrick's- By Ellma

Dear Sleeping Beauty,
I am inviting you to come and visit St. Patrick's School and spend the day with me and my friends.                                                                   

                        Sleeping Beauty Visits St. Patricks 

Learning Intention:W.A.L.T- a write creative narrative story.
Success Criteria: I am successful when I can change the beginning and ending of my story.

One day, a couple of months ago I invited my friend Sleeping Beauty to come play with me and my classmates. When I arrived in the classroom she was standing in the middle of the class. I gave her the biggest hug and my friends did too.

First we played tag. She was amazing at that game. She tagged all of us including the fast people. I was so surprised. After playing she took a rest and played with the boys.

Sleeping Beauty and the boys played hide-and-seek. She was good at that game too. When the boys were in, they couldn't find her, but when she was in, she found them easily. The boys were so embarrassed because they were boys and she was a girl and the boys thought they were better then girls. She laughed and we  laughed with her. The boys were annoyed.

The bell rang for lunch and we all sat with Sleeping Beauty. While Sleeping Beauty was waiting for us to finish our food she told us some funny jokes, and we all laughed. We all tried making her laugh but our jokes were not that funny, unlike Sleeping Beauty's. 

Later Sleeping Beauty had to leave, but before she left she told us one more joke and it was  funnier then the jokes she told us before. Finally we gave her a c big bear hug and said goodbye to her. She was awesome to play with. 

Why do we Celebrate Christmas

💚Why do we Celebrate Christmas❤

We celebrate Christmas, because we are celebrating the birthday of Jesus. Jesus is like a gift to us because he died on the cross for us to forgive our sins. We are really grateful for Jesus to be alive because he healed a lot of sick people.

We celebrate Christmas, because we can spend more time with family and friends. We can play sports like volleyball, and touch.  We can go on trips to other cities, including other countries.

We celebrate Christmas because we can wrap presents and leave cookies and milk for Santa to eat and drink. We can also be surprised of what gift he will give us. We can send gifts to your relatives or friends to another country or you can be the gift to them.
